Enthusiasm Police is dead for now, but like Lazarus it may return. There are still some things I want to revisit under that name: I’ve got a whole (quite long) album of stuff that never got released properly that I want to put out at some stage, when I can scrape together enough cash to press it properly, with some decent artwork and stuff. Maybe there’ll be more shows with it then - but I have no timeframe for that and other band stuff keeps gettin’ in the way.
The Shakes, to my great sadness, are gone forever. On the plus side, we finished recording drums and bass for the last batch of songs about a fortnight ago. Cale (the bass player in the band, who also brought a lot of song ideas to the table) is not going to be available to keep doing it, so we’re moving on. At some point in the next three months (once I finish getting guitar and vocals done on these final songs) the plan is to put out a really small run of LP’s as a physical memento for anyone who wants one, but aside from that, Shakes is gone. Braden (drummer) and I are planning to do new stuff together soon though.
